My name is Micheal Figueroa. I am a Black-Hispanic American, and I was born and raised in New York City and I'm now living in Indianapolis, Indiana. I mostly dabble in oil paintings, watercolor, and drawing but I also have a passion for ceramics. My artwork comes purely from my imagination and I know that’s what a lot of artists probably say but it’s kinda true for me (lol). I’m mostly an introvert but I’ve got a little bit of an extrovert in me. That little bit of extrovert helps me with imagining scenery that I want to visit and go camping, kiss and frolic in. My introvert part helps me put those images on canvas or paper. I like the gothic-pretty style which utilizes color in a way that’s scary and gorgeous lending to a fantasy-esque gothic style, and draw inspiration from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, as well as from Frida Kahlo. This is where the name Gothic Fantasy Arts is derived. I love being able to share my imaginings with people and I truly hope that it piques your imagination and that you can see yourself in these locations delighting in the angelic spookiness in a colorful way.
